Linking your Revit file with a planBIM Project

To update your projects, you can build your Revit files or edit your current ones and link them to your planBIM project. This trick helps you be on track across the different platforms of planBIM like the Revit plugin, the web app and the mobile app. Follow the steps below to complete the action of linking your Revit files:


Link a Project

Ensure that you have a Revit file already open in the window and select the workspace that you need inside the plugin.

Then, click on the project, and you'll be prompted to CONFIRM or CANCEL the process of linking your Revit file.

When you click on CONFIRM,

Your file will be linked to the project and you'll observe a summary of the Scoper, Files and Content module of your project.

Scroll down to navigate through the


📓Note

If you have not defined your scope and don't have any objects in the Content module, you will notice the set of module cards in the plugin as shown below.


Unlink a Project

To unlink a project, click on the UNLINK PROJECT button. It is placed inside the project, as shown in the image below.

Once you click on UNLINK PROJECT, a pop-up window will appear asking for permission to unlink the file.

Click on Confirm to proceed and you’re and file will get unlinked.
