planBIM has a unique concept of Credits that can be earned or bought.

Essentially, 1 BIMcoin = $1 (USD).

🎫 Premium BIMcoins

Premium credits are the ones you can apply towards a paid planBIM subscription and obtain a discount or use for in-app purchases. You can either buy a certain amount of credits with a one-time payment or earn them. There are several ways you can earn Premium credits:

  • Invite people to planBIM: Every time you invite someone to planBIM, you get 5 BIMcoins after they sign up.

  • You can also invite new users straight from this window, tweet a unique referral link, or copy your referral link to share with folks in countless other ways

  • Log in on the mobile app on either Android or iOS for the first time: Get 2 BIMcoins.

  • Login to our Autodesk Revit plugin for the first time: Get 2 BIMcoins.

These credits get accrued to your account. You can then transfer that credit to any of the workspaces where you belong or also to your company. You can learn more about transferring credits here.

Alternatively, you can purchase Premium credits directly for your workspace, as mentioned here.

You get to choose when to use your earned Premium credits. Choose how many dollars you'd like to apply, and that will change the amount due on your next billing cycle (whether that's monthly or annual).

💳 Recurring BIMcoins

A certain amount of recurring credits are provided to the workspace by planBIM for free, every month based on the plan the workspace is on and the number of users. These refreshes every month, irrespective of whether they are used up or not.

For example, if you are on the Pro Plan and have 35 recurring credits, and you use 20 of them for in-app purchases that month, the next month you'll again receive a fresh set of 35 Recurring credits to use.

The Recurring credits cannot be used to apply for a discount. They are only usable for in-app purchases.

planBIM credits cannot be exchanged for cash or used outside of planBIM.
