The planBIM plugin creates a new tab in Revit after installation, and you can access the Scoper module by following the steps, as shown below.

Use Cases

• A BIM Manager/Project manager can specify the scope of work and elements to be modeled using the LOD matrix functionality of planBIM's web/mobile apps.

• Further, the BIM Modelers can directly view the scope assigned to them and develop their models accordingly within Revit.

• A BIM Modeler can associate various model elements with the element categories in planBIM. The associations can be made by Family or by the Type of element.

• The BIM Manager can later quickly audit whether the various elements are modeled according to the correct LOD as specified in the Scope.

The detailed scope of work for each element can be seen here for both, the modelling and auditing purposes. Elements can be easily filtered and sorted for each discipline, LOD, LOA, alphabetically, and so forth.

Projects can also be filtered and sorted similarly for discipline, LODs, amongst others.

The user can click on the project they are working on to view the scope of work and other information while they are working/modelling. Switching between phases is also really simple with this plugin.

The elements are linkable to the correct subcategories selected in the Scoper module on the app or the web. The plugin identifies the element category and shows only the relevant linking options as per the scope for any selected element.

E.g., as seen in the image below, the balcony railing has been selected, and the plugin shows two options for railings.

The plugin gives you the option of linking the element to its Family or Type as per requirement. Once linked to any one of these categories, the element is instantly observable by other team members of the project. Therefore, there is no requirement of synchronising the information you input. The Revit plugin would automatically sync your linked data via the cloud.

E.g., if you link the railing as an independent railing, the other person on the team would be able to see it as the image below when he logs in to the same project.

Parameters are foreseeable as per the LOI specification for the information the element should contain and can later be verified by the user auditing the project. Multiple selections are designable for parameters in the web app, and these parameters can also be added manually for custom ones.
